“The rifle is hot, the machine gun is hot, it’s generally fun!” the Russian soldier exclaims before saying that he has enough ammo for his rifle.

Next, the video shows his message after he was captured by the Ukrainian military:

“I appeal to my former comrades-in-arms and civilians who are watching Russian propaganda: I am asking you, comrades, to desert or leave. Don’t come here. If you came here, repent and leave. What we are doing is wrong.”

Then the military tells Russian men who want to go to Ukraine as heroes that “life” and “health” come first.

“Then draw the right conclusions, see where you are going and what is happening here, and what we have done. After everything that happened… We shouldn’t be fighting here, so don’t do it,” he says.

Having also briefly mentioned the Ukrainian civilians affected by the war, the Russian soldier concludes his message with the words: “Guys, don’t listen to propaganda, please don’t come here.”

Zelensky asked the army to take more prisoners

The Ukrainian military, who shared the video, translated by the founder of the website War Translated, Dmitry, say that the first message of the Russian military was recorded in the morning, and the second in the afternoon of the same day, but such statements should be viewed with caution, since information about the war reaches both sides of the conflict. .

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi on Monday night urged his armed forces to take more prisoners, saying it would help free soldiers held by Russia.

His statement came hours after the parties carried out one of the largest prisoner swaps to date, exchanging 218 detainees, including 108 Ukrainian women.

Last Thursday, another exchange of prisoners also took place, and the heroes of “Azovstal”, including the commanders of the “Azov” regime, were released after the exchange, which took place on September 22.

As part of this exchange, Kyiv handed over to the Russians Viktor Medvedchuk, a Ukrainian oligarch to whom Vladimir Putin named one of his two daughters.
