Coskun Başbuğ, a former intelligence colonel and security policy expert, said the Kerch Strait is one of Russia’s most critical regions, saying the Russian president is facing difficult days both internally and externally, TGRT Haber reported, citing Rador.

“Crimea is one of the nerve endings of Russia, one of the most important regions for Russia. When you talk about the Russian fleet, you mean Crimea. Losing this region represents a dimension for Russia that will lead to nuclear war,” and adds: “I think Russia will resort to even crazier attacks.”

The war is just beginning

Emphasizing that the attack on the Kerch Bridge turned the tide of the war, Bashbug notes: “The Kerch Strait is a warning to Russia. This is a message from the USA and the West that through Ukraine “we will one way or another take Crimea from your hands.”

And since Russia knows this, it responded with a blow to Kyiv. When the Kerch Strait was attacked, the course of the war changed. The war is just beginning.”

The beginning of the end for Russia

Bashbug talks about Putin’s nervousness and says: “The bombing of Kyiv is important, it is a very serious message sent to the United States, Ukraine, and Zelensky.

The loss of Crimea is the beginning of the end for Russia, while Putin’s loss of office is a development that will lead to the loss of power. So, he will use all his resources on the ground to ensure that the new Air Force chief becomes one of those names that brought Syria closer to the ground.

He influenced the production of this explosion. At this moment, Russia is capable of anything. It is necessary to discuss whether instead of such strikes we are moving to a missile war.”

Putin has nothing to lose

Since Russia has nothing to lose, it can consider any attack, says Bashbug and analyzes the possibility of Putin using nuclear weapons:

“I think they will use what we call ballistic weapons. These are the most dangerous war missiles. From now on, since Russia has nothing left to lose, I see such an opportunity. And especially if /Putin/ notices the maneuvers to seize Crimea, Russia will do this madness. Putin, who is going through difficult times both internally and externally, has put an aggressive person at the head of the armed forces. I believe that Russia can resort to even crazier attacks.”
