A powerful explosion rocked the Kerch Bridge, a structure connecting Crimea to Russia by road and rail, on Saturday morning after a truck allegedly exploded right next to a train carrying fuel tanks.
The moment of the explosion was recorded by surveillance cameras, and after the explosion itself, a fire broke out on the tank, which seriously damaged the railway infrastructure.
Pictures taken on Saturday afternoon, after the fire was extinguished, show the extent of the damage.
At least two sections of the road bridge collapsed into the water, and the railway bridge was quite seriously damaged by the shelling of the tank cars and the train, which were still standing on the tracks.
