“After the liberation of the village of Pisky-Radkivski, local residents reported to the police that in the basement of one of the houses, prisoners – local residents, ATO soldiers – were being held. [Operaţiunea Antiteroristă] and prisoners of war of the Armed Forces of Ukraine”, Serhiy Bolvinov, head of the investigative department of the Kharkiv Oblast National Police Department, reported on Facebook.
The evidence of the terrible torture that Ukrainians have been subjected to and are being subjected to by the Russians seems to be endless.
At the beginning of September, after the liberation of Kharkiv by the Ukrainians, People’s Deputy of Ukraine Lesya Vasylenko stated that the Russians left the decapitated bodies of Ukrainian soldiers.
- “The release exposes many crimes. It’s like we’re approaching the hundreds, if not thousands, of Buchi cities, only on a smaller scale,” Vasylenko said, referring to the mass burials of civilians and evidence of torture found in Buchi when Ukrainian forces retook Kyiv.
- “But regardless of the scale, there will be tribunals, retribution and justice,” she adds.
- “Decapitated corpses of Ukrainian soldiers. They shot and tortured civilians. The number will rise and investigations will continue.
- Robbed houses. The military in Russia take everything, even underwear. And at the same time they leave their weapons.
- Complete chaos in houses, churches, on the streets. It’s as if toilets are unknown to Russians. Human feces everywhere,” she said at the time.
It will be recalled that on Saturday in Buchi, in the first minutes after the liberation, the bodies of at least twenty men in civilian clothes were found on one street.
