Japan: Typhoon Talas death toll rises to two

Serious problems arose at the headquarters Japanfrom the aisle strong typhoon “Talas”. At least two have died and tens of thousands of households have been left without power.

A 40-year-old man died in Kakegawa, Shizuoka Prefecture, central Japan, when his house was demolished by a landslide, and a 29-year-old man died when his car fell into an irrigation canal.

Strong winds toppled power poles, leaving at least 120,000 households without power.

Now Talas has been downgraded to a tropical cyclone, but in Yokohama, where it is approaching, an order has been given to evacuate three thousand residents.
