Ukraine managed to recapture the village of Bilogorivka, Luhansk region. However, in an interview with Radio NV, the governor of Luhansk region, Serhii Gaidai, warned that it will be more difficult to liberate the region than Kharkiv, due to the large concentration of Russian troops in this region.
“The effect of surprise will no longer be there… Those who fled from Kharkiv are in Luhansk and Donetsk regions, and now they are digging into the ground with all their might and building defensive structures,” Gaidai explained.
The head of the OVA also wrote on his Facebook page that Ukrainians should “be patient while waiting for the great liberation of Luhansk region.” According to him, tough battles are going on now.
