A Ukrainian military officer released a video message in which he describes how his unit fought in the south of Ukraine against Russian troops that invaded Kherson.
“So friends, today we made an assault, now I’m in cover, the assault was in the style of the Rzhev assault operation, I won’t go into details, but in short, we attacked with tanks on the field in combat positions, we attacked their positions together.” – says the Ukrainian military man.
He says he suffered a concussion after the Russians launched “some crap” from a drone, and that Russian military drones arrived on the battlefield in half an hour, about the same time it took Ukrainian soldiers to advance halfway to the Russian defenders’ positions.
“One of them (bombs) fell about 3 meters from me, the other at a distance of maybe 5 meters, luckily it didn’t hit me,” says the Kyivan, but notes that he received a serious concussion.
“The fighters were shocked that I was intact. Then they fired from tanks, from artillery, from mortars, in general it was difficult, but ours were beaten well,” he says.
A very brave Ukrainian soldier reports on today’s assault, obviously, the place and person are not specified. Glory to the Ukrainians! uD83CuDDFAuD83CuDDE6 pic.twitter.com/8DendjM92b

Problems that the Ukrainian military found in the attack in which he participated
He says that “the bad thing is that we didn’t have good communication, we didn’t have good coordination, that was basically the only problem.” But then the military mentions a problem that is not related to the organization of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, reporting that the soldiers had to advance through a minefield of the Russian occupiers.
“It was in the style of the movie ‘Criminal Battalion,'” the military man jokes, before saying that “it’s good, we need to liberate Ukraine, everything will be fine, we will win.”
He ends his address with the traditional “Glory to Ukraine!”
On Monday, Ukrainian troops launched an offensive in the south of the Kherson region, and the map of the battles, published on Tuesday by journalists in Kyiv, shows that it was a large-scale counteroffensive along the entire front line.
The office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed on Monday that “intense fighting” is taking place “in almost all” of Kherson Oblast, which has been occupied by the Russians since the beginning of the invasion.
