
Paleontologists work intensively in the backyard of a house in Portugal bring to light the remains of the old man dinosaur what has ever been found in EuropeThis was announced today by the University of Lisbon.
Fossilized dinosaur bones were found in 2017 by the owner of a piece of land in the city of Pombal in central Portugal during restoration work.
Earlier this month, Spanish and Portuguese paleontologists excavated the site to uncover what they believe is the largest dinosaur in Europe, estimated by the university’s science department to be about 25 meters long and lived 145 million years ago.
The skeleton belongs to a sauropod, a herbivorous quadrupedal dinosaur with a very long neck and tail.
