
The General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine reported on Saturday that since the beginning of Russia’s military offensive in Ukraine, 377 children have died and at least 733 have been injured.
“More than 1,100 children were affected by the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation in Ukraine. As of the morning of August 27, the official number of dead children is 377 and has not changed over the past day. The number of affected children has increased to at least 733,” the General Prosecutor’s Office said in a message published on Telegram, News.ro reports.
The largest number of children died or were injured as a result of the war in Donetsk – 388. It is followed by Kharkiv – 202 children, Kyiv – 116, Chernihiv – 68, Mykolaiv – 67, Luhansk – 61, Kherson – 55, and Zaporizhzhia – 42.
In total, 2,328 school and faculty buildings were destroyed as a result of Russian attacks.
