Company Modern sued her pfizer and BioNTech for patent infringement regarding vaccine against COVID-19according to a company statement.

Moderna claims that Pfizer/BionTech copied mRNA technology developed by the company years before the pandemic.

Shares of Pfizer fell 1.4% and shares of BioNTech fell 2% ahead of the session.

A claim for unspecified damages was filed in the District Court of Massachusetts and the District Court of Düsseldorf.

Moderna was founded just over a decade ago and is headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She became known for her innovative research in the development of mRNA technology.

The German company BioNTech is known for its work on mRNA technology.
