According to a NATO report, Russia has already withdrawn 10 fighter jets from Crimea. According to the website, six Su-35S fighters and four MiIG-31BM fighters have been withdrawn from the peninsula.
“Ukrainian drones are difficult to identify as targets for Russian air defense systems,” the report says.
At the same time, Russia has increased the number of tactical surface-to-air missiles located on the peninsula to counter possible subsequent drone attacks from Ukrainian territory.
On August 18, local residents reported hearing explosions in the city of Kerch and near the Belbek airport in Sevastopol.
On August 20, an unmanned aerial vehicle attacked the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol. The drone “fell on the roof and caught fire,” said regional governor Mikhail Razvozaev.
