In particular, the singer said yesterday at his concert, referring to someone unknown, that “his perversion” is due to the fact that he studied at the religious school of Imam Hatip.
The singer apologized for this statement, but in spite of everything she was taken and it was decided to arrest her.
“This logic of hatred will not find a basis in our country. This is a statement of hate and it is a shame,” said AKP spokesman Omer Celik.
In recent months, Gülşen has taken over many Turkish newspaper front pages with revealing clothing she has worn on stage, sparking a backlash among conservative Turks.
