Heads of the Ministry of Defense Turkey they claim that the Greek fighters blocked the Turkish F-16 who performed his duties NATO in Eastern Mediterranean.

According to Ankara, the Greek militants tried to block the Turkish ones.

Turkey also claims that it reacted to this action and that the Greek fighter jets were removed from the area, and also claims that the Greek military attaché was called to explain to the Ministry of Defense.

It is also noted that the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs continued, as usual, with a protest march towards Ankara for today’s overflights of Turkish F-16s in the Aegean Sea.

According to diplomatic sources, with every provocation against our country, a special practice of sending a diplomatic note is observed.

Recall that earlier on Tuesday, two pairs of Turkish F-16s entered the Athens FIR without providing a flight plan, violated national airspace and then:

• The first Turkish pair flew over Divuniya, northwest of Kasos Karpathos, at 27,000 feet at 10:57 and
• three minutes later a second pair of Turkish F-16s flew over Kamilonisi, northwest of Kasos Karpathos, also at 27,000 feet.

In all cases, Turkish aircraft were identified and intercepted by the respective Greek fighters in accordance with international regulations, in accordance with standard tactics, as announced by the Greek Ministry of Defense.
