Since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine, 4,372 citizens of Ukraine have applied for asylum in Romania, in the last 24 hours only one application for asylum was submitted in our country by a citizen of Ukraine, according to a press release of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on Sunday.

Ukrainian refugees in Romania enjoy all the rights provided for by national legislation, the Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasizes, as quoted by Agerpres.

Also, from March 18, 2022 until now, 55,576 residence permits have been issued for beneficiaries of temporary protection, 58 in the last day.

At the moment, the occupancy of the accommodation centers of the General Inspectorate of Immigration is 49.8%.

As for traffic through checkpoints, 61,693 vehicles and 236,930 people entered our country over the last day, including 13,597 citizens of Ukraine.
