USA: How they planned to kill John Bolton

Prosecution for conspiracy to kill him John Boltonformer National Security Adviser to Donald Trump, filed Justice Department case against Iran, member Revolutionary Guardwith a strict legal document more like a spy novel than a subpoena.

The plan, implemented in retaliation for the assassination of Iranian General Soleimani in Iraq, involved the assassination of Bolton, as a representative of the clerical wing in Washington. However, the operation failed after the infiltration of a US FBI informant posing as a professional killer. The indictment reveals a disturbing degree of preparation: An unnamed source in Tehran provided accurate information about Bolton’s movements that only surveillance could provide.

Poursafi demanded that the assailant film the assassination of a former Trump adviser.

The alleged organizer of the operation, 45-year-old Sahram Poursafi, has not been located, and the prosecutors are believed to be in Iran. Photographs from the case file show Poursafi wearing expensive sunglasses and an Islamic Revolutionary Guard uniform. In October 2021, Poursafi contacted an American citizen via the Internet, asking him to find John Bolton’s residence and take some photos of the former national security adviser for a book he was writing. “Iran has a long history of plotting to kill Americans in the US, whom it considers a threat,” explains FBI Deputy Director Clarissa Knapp.USA: How they planned to kill John Bolton-1

In November 2021, Poursafi met several Americans online using an encrypted digital messaging platform. In his messages, the Iranian made an incredible offer to one of his interlocutors, who turned out to be an informant: Poursafi would pay $250,000 for the “murder” of Bolton. The Iranian agent later increased the reward to $300,000. According to a federal agency investigation, the former Secretary of State, Mike Pompeowas in second place on Poursafi’s list.

The Iranian agent never concealed his status as a guardsman, using this fact as a means of pressure and threats against the rest of the participants in the Bolton assassination plan. Poursafi forced the informant to create a cryptocurrency account, to which he would deposit the agreed amount only after the “mission” was completed. The Iranian even demanded that the informant and would-be assassin videotape the murder, warning that his “bosses” in Tehran would be furious if the mission was not completed successfully. Purafi even expressed regret that Bolton’s assassination did not coincide with the anniversary of Soleimani’s January 3rd assassination.
