On August 3, 2022, 27 Chinese military aircraft “entered a wider zone (an air defense identification zone wider than airspace)”, Taiwan’s defense ministry tweeted.

“Despite the deliberate increase in military threats, Taiwan will not back down. We will continue to defend democracy,” Tsai said during an event in Taipei.
