On July 22, the US already announced that it had approved $270 million in new military aid to Ukraine, including four new HIMARS missile systems.

Thanks to the new aid, the total number of M142 highly mobile multiple-launch artillery systems sent to Ukraine will reach 20 units.

HIMARS can accurately hit targets within a radius of 80 kilometers – this is a cardinal point in the counterattack of Ukrainian forces.

The White House also said the new military package would also include 500 Phoenix Ghost drones, as well as 36,000 anti-tank missiles.

Most of the aid comes from a $40 billion package that Congress approved in May.

Also on Monday, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine announced on Twitter that new weapons had arrived from Germany.

This is the third MARS II multiple launch system from the “Long Arm” family, said the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, who thanked, in particular, his colleague from Germany, Christine Lambrecht.
