800 people have been excluded from organizing the Summer Olympics in Paris after 180,000 security checks out of a total of one million, the French government said, as quoted by AFP.

There are a million checks here, we have already done 180,000 checks, excluded 800 people, 15 of them Islamic radicals.

More precisely, there were people who wanted to sign up to carry the Olympic flame, to be volunteers at the Olympics and who did not have good intentions. These are radical Islamists and extremist eco-activists” – Gérald Darmanin, Minister of the Interior of Francefor the TV station LCI.

The Olympic Games (July 26-August 11) and Paralympics (August 28-September 8) mobilize more than 45,000 internal security forces. About 35,000 policemen and gendarmes will provide security at the competitions every day (25,000 at the Paralympic Games).

The French capital will host the Olympic Games from July 26 to August 11 in the mode of the maximum level of preparedness for the threat of terrorist attacks.
