An 18-year-old youth, upset that he lost a gambling game in a bar in Choroharl, Ilfov county, decided to take revenge by setting the bar on fire. He was arrested a few days after the incident and a preventive measure was taken against him for committing the crime of destruction by arson.

The incident, initially registered with the police as an unknown perpetrator, happened last week, on Sunday evening.

“On March 24 of this year, around 11:15 p.m., the administrator of a commercial enterprise contacted Bragadyr police officers that an unknown person had destroyed the entrance door to the premises located in the village by arson. Dârvari, from the commune of Ciorogârla, where the mentioned commercial company operates. “During the measures, Bragadir police identified a person suspected of committing a crime, namely a young man aged 18,” the police of the Ilfov district reported on Saturday.

The guy used a bottle filled with a flammable substance, which he set on fire by throwing it at the door of the respective institution. The bar was open to the public at the time.

Judicial sources told News.ro that the 18-year-old boy lost money playing slot machines in this bar and resorted to arson, unhappy with the situation.

First, he was detained by the criminal investigation of Bragadir, and on Saturday he was presented to the court, which issued a warrant for preventive arrest in his name for 30 days.
