Andrey Razvan Miku, who began his studies at a university that was not accredited at the time, made a brilliant career, managing to move from public administration to banks with majority state capital. Insurance and reinsurance company “Exim” (CARE), the majority shareholder of which is the State Bank “Exim” – Banca Românească, formerly EximBank. EximBank used to be a bank specializing only in commercial companies, but last year, after acquiring the private equity bank Banca Românească, it became a universal bank. The same bank launched its own EximAsig insurance company on the market in 2010. The company specializes in commercial credit insurance, that is, it deals only with commercial companies, although its name appears in the scandal with the bankruptcy of Euroins and the proposal for the creation of the state’s own insurance company RCA.
