CSA Steaua accuses the Romanian Football Federation of disrespect

In a document published on the website of the Romanian Football Federation, which contains cases pending before the Commission for Discipline and Ethics, the team from Genc appears under the name “CSA Steaua Armatei”.

Red-blue fans noticed the detail, and called the problem a “joke” on social networks, asking the club’s management to take a stand.

In a statement released on their Facebook page, the star players accused the FRF of being disrespectful and demanded immediate action to correct the name.

“You can just call us STEAUA BUCHARESTI!

New evidence from the Romanian Football Federation that they do not respect STEAUA and Stelist supporters.

After being evaluated by the federation commissions with a different unit of measurement compared to other clubs, in identical cases, we have a new proof of “professionalism” from the Disciplinary and Ethics Commission of the FRF. In the table with the list of sanctions adopted for the matches of the senior team that did not take place in the meeting on March 20, 2024, published on the official website of the federation, the name “CSA Steaua Armatei” is next to our club.

We remind everyone, including FRF employees, that the official name of our club is Clubul Sportiv al Armatei Steaua.

We hope that this is a technical editing error and that the federation has not started practicing the tricks that the media in Romania use almost every day to mislead fans that there are more teams with the name “Steaua”.

There is only one team, Steaua (Bucharest), and no matter how hard you try, you can’t deny the reality.

We ask the Romanian Football Federation to take steps as soon as possible to correct the name of our team, and to make it easier for you in the future and to avoid problems, you can simply call us STEAUA BUCHARESTI!” reads the CSA Steaua press release.
