
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi on Tuesday fired Oleksiy Danilov from the position of Secretary of the National Security Council in Kyiv, reports the Ukrinform agency, which refers to Reuters.
This is stated in the decree published on the website of President Zelenskyi’s Administration. Also, by decree, the President of Ukraine appointed Oleksandr Lytvynenko as Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine.
Zelenskyi’s office has not yet explained the reasons for Danilov’s removal from office. He held this position since October 2019 and was one of the most famous Ukrainian officials both within the country and abroad.
As “Ukrainian Pravda” reports, Zelensky also appointed a new director of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.
