An Avangarde poll commissioned by Digi24 shows that if the local elections were held on Sunday, Cristian Popescu Piedone would get 44% of the votes in the capital city hall, followed by Nikušor Dan with 27% and PSD-PNL candidate Dr. Cătălin Cîrstoiu, 16%. The poll also presents a scenario in which Piedone will give up the fight for Bucharest.

Rating of the capital’s mayor’s office according to the results of the “Avangard” survey commissioned by Digi 24:

  • Cristian Popescu Piedone – 44% intention to vote (among those who answered)
  • Nikusor Den – 27%
  • Catalin Cîrstoiu – 16%
  • Mihai Enache (GOLD) – 10%

How would the votes have been divided if Piedone had not run?

The Avangarde poll shows that if Christian Popescu Piedone had not run, Nikušor Dan would have won the capital city hall with 41% of the vote, followed by Katalin Kirštou with 29% and Mihai Enake (Australia) with 27%. The question was addressed only to the voters of the current mayor of sector 5, Cristian Popescu Piedone.

Bucharest residents were also asked how satisfied they were with Nikusor Dan during his years as mayor. 41% assessed the activity of the current mayor as “rather negative”, and 25% – as “rather positive”.

The main problems of Bucharest residents are: transport -18% and hospitals – 18%.
