Criminal proceedings have been opened against a 62-year-old man for theft, he is suspected of stealing diesel fuel from the floating crane of the company where he works. The crane was in the port of Constanta for maintenance work.
“On March 23 of this year, around 10:50 p.m., police officers of the Constanta Municipal Police – Port Police Department identified a 62-year-old man suspected of committing the crime of qualified theft. After an investigation, it turned out that on that day he allegedly stole 20 liters of diesel from a floating crane located in the port of Constanţa for maintenance work,” IPJ Constanţa said on Sunday, News.ro reported.
The source clarified that the man works as a sailor in a commercial company that owns the corresponding car.
“In order to continue the research, the amount of diesel was increased. According to this fact, criminal proceedings have been opened,” the source added.
