The ANM has issued a weather advisory for rainfall and strong winds for most of the country, valid till Monday evening.

Also, meteorologists announced a yellow code, warning that on Monday, snow will fall in the mountains, and blizzards in the highlands

Weather information about quantitatively moderate precipitation and increased wind

From 10:00 on March 24 to 20:00 on March 25 in the center, south and east of the territory in places short-term moderate rains, water accumulation of 10…15 l/m2, and more is selected on the night from Sunday to Monday (March 24/25 ) in Muntenia, Dobruja and in the south of Moldova on limited areas of 25…30 l/m2.

Mostly there will be showers, which will be accompanied by isolated electrical discharges.

In the mountains throughout Sunday, there will be precipitation of various types, then snow will prevail and a layer of snow will fall. Temporarily, mixed precipitation will be observed in small areas and in Transylvania and in the north of Dobrudja.

The wind locally temporarily increased, in general gusts of 40…50 km/h, in mountainous areas 60…70 km/h.

On the night from Sunday to Monday in the west and north-west of the territory, and on the night from Monday to Tuesday, there will be frosts, especially in the Inner Carpathian regions and in the south on hilly terrain.

Yellow Code for snow and high winds March 25 from 2:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

In the Southern Carpathians and in the Crooked Carpathians, snow will prevail and a layer of snow will fall, denser in places.

The wind will intensify, its speed will be higher in the highlands (generally above 1,700 m), where gusts will exceed 80…90 km/h, blowing snow and reducing visibility.

During Monday (March 25) in Dobrudja, eastern Muntenia, southeastern Moldova, western and southern Oltenia and southern Transylvania, the wind will increase with a total speed of 55…65 km/h.

Forecast for Bucharest

In the capital, from 10 a.m. Sunday to 8 a.m. Monday, the weather will be particularly warm for this period, ANM said in a special forecast for Bucharest.

At night, the sky will be partly cloudy, it will rain. There will mainly be showers, which may be accompanied by electrical discharges and the amount of water will accumulate around 20 l/m2. In general, a moderate wind will blow. The maximum temperature will be 21…22 degrees, the minimum will be 5…6 degrees.

On Monday, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., it will significantly cool down compared to the previous day, so the maximum temperature will be 11…13 degrees Celsius.

The sky will be cloudy, it will rain in the first half of the day, the amount of water will accumulate 5…10 l/m2. The wind is weak, moderate, short-term with some strengthening (gusts 35…45 km/h).
