Mircea Lucescu is ready to return to grass – this announcement was made in the Italian press

Mircea Lucescu left Dynamo Kyiv at the beginning of November 2023, and from that moment there was a lot of talk about returning to football.

Constantly present in the stands of Giulesti and the Arc de Triomphe to watch the games of Rapida and Dynamo, the coach has already rejected important offers from Besiktas or Olympique Lyonnais.

However, “Il Luce” has told the media in Italy about his return, which he predicts for June.

“I hope to return to the bench. After 50 years, I rested for the first time.

With everything that, unfortunately, happened in Ukraine, I decided to stop and wait for June. That’s why we gave up Besiktas in the season.

I am looking forward to the opportunity to take over the team from the ground up, where I can influence the building and preparation of the team.

At the age of 78, I do not lack enthusiasm and drive. I always go to matches to keep up to date and be ready when the right offer comes along.” – said Mircea Lucescufor Tutto Sport.

Mircea Lucescu ranks third in the list of the most titled coaches in the history of football. Il Luce has won 35 trophies in his career, ahead of only Pep Guardiola (36) and the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson (50).

In his career, Mircea Lucescu coached “Corvinul Hunedoara”, the Romanian national team, “Dinamo” (Bucharest), “Pisa”, “Brescia”, “Regiana”, “Rapid” (Bucharest), “Inter”, “Galatasaray”, Besiktas, Shakhtior Donetsk, Zenit. Petersburg, the Turkish national team and Dynamo Kyiv.
