Siyabonga Ngezana has been called up to the national team of South Africa for the first time, but the FCSB defender will not take part in the action of the representative of his country, as he cannot leave Romania.
Siyabonga Ngezana has missed out on a call-up to the South African national team after losing his documents
The South African national team is preparing for the test matches against Andorra and Algeria, at which matches Siyabonga Ngezana should also be present.
The FSB defender was called up for the first time in front of coach Hugo Bross and for the African Cup, but he will not be able to join his compatriots.
The breeder himself named the initial reason.
“Ngesana lost her documents and for this reason could not leave Romania.
He was not with us for the Africa Cup of Nations because he needed an adaptation period, although he had a very good season.
But now that he could come, he has no documents. It’s not our fault, it’s his,” breeder Hugo Bross told the South African press.
At the age of 26, Siyabonga Ngezana arrived at FCSB in July 2023 from Kaizer Chiefs for €600,000.
“He has no papers. It’s not because of us, it’s because of him.”
Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has revealed that Siyabonga Ngezana is not in the squad as he has lost his travel documents and cannot leave Romania. https://t.co/ic7CVwh01k pic.twitter.com/ISPe0Ign8M
