Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday ordered Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) to “punish” pro-Kiev Russian militants who carry out attacks in regions bordering Ukraine, calling them “scoundrels” and “traitors,” AFP reported.

“We must not forget who they are, identify them by name. We will punish them without restrictions, wherever they are,” Putin said in a speech to FSB officers.

Russia’s borders are controlled by the powerful Russian security service, which was headed by Vladimir Putin in the 1990s, AFP reports.
