
The backpack was thrown on the sidewalk on Sunday at Kiseleva Boulevard, number 6, where the headquarters of the Russian Embassy in Romania is located, the incident was reported to 112, News.ro reports.
According to the protocol drawn up in such situations, pyrotechnicians were called to the site and inspected the object.
Traffic was restricted in the perimeter between the Arc de Triomphe and the Russian embassy, and people were asked not to approach, reports Libertatea.
This is not the first such case.
In February last year, pyrotechnic teams visited the Russian embassy after a suspicious envelope was seized from the Russian embassy in Bucharest, but after an investigation the DSI announced that no pyrotechnic material had been found.
