London police said on Friday they were looking for a man behind two separate but “linked” crossbow attacks that injured people in fashionable Shoreditch this month, AFP reported.

The victims of the attacks, a 44-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man, were released from hospital after being treated for injuries that police said were not life-threatening.

According to the same source, the attacks on March 4 and 14 are related because of “their nature and the place” where they took place.

On March 4, a woman was head-butted while crossing the street in Shoreditch, a trendy area of east London known for its street art and designer boutiques.

10 days later, at the same time of night, a 20-year-old man was wounded in the neck on the street 60 meters from the place of the first attack.

“A large number of efforts are being made to find the perpetrators of these attacks,” said James Conways, chief of London’s Metropolitan Police.

“We understand the concern,” he continued, appealing for witnesses to come forward and saying his detectives were particularly looking at CCTV footage.
