Prosecutors of the Prosecutor’s Office at the Bucharest Court detained a 68-year-old woman from Ukraine after fatally stabbing her husband with a kitchen knife following a spontaneous conflict in an apartment in Sector 6 of the capital.

• “On March 10, 2024, prosecutors of the Prosecutor’s Office at the Bucharest Court opened a criminal case against the accused (a 68-year-old citizen of Ukraine), who is being investigated for the crime of domestic violence in the form of murder.
• On 03/09/2024, around 10:10 p.m., while in a shared apartment located in an apartment building in Sector 6, Bucharest, after a spontaneous conflict, the defendant armed herself with a kitchen knife and stabbed him in the chest. man (a 71-year-old citizen of Ukraine), causing him bodily injuries that soon led to the victim’s death,” the prosecutor’s office reports.

Emergency services were notified by the woman herself, who called 112, and the prosecutor and the police went to the building and inspected the crime scene.

An examination of the body revealed a wound that caused death. The victim’s body was transported to the “Mina Minovici” National Institute of Forensic Medicine in Bucharest for a forensic autopsy.

The woman was detained for 24 hours and will appear before a Bucharest court judge with a proposal for preventive arrest for 30 days.

The investigation is being continued by the Prosecutor’s Office at the Bucharest Court and the Main Department of the Police of the Municipality of Bucharest – Homicide Service. (Agerpress)
