Dmitry Medvedev, an ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin, on Friday called Joe Biden a “disgrace” to America and said that the president of the United States has no right to compare himself to Franklin D. Roosevelt, Reuters and Agerpres reported.

US President Joe Biden began his State of the Union address on Thursday by referencing a 1941 speech to Congress in which Roosevelt said the Union faced an unprecedented turning point in history.

Biden also accused his Republican rival Donald Trump of pandering to Russia and, just over two weeks after calling Vladimir Putin a “crazy slob,” said he had a message for the Russian president on Ukraine: “We’re not going away.” .

“Although Roosevelt was a sick man in a wheelchair, he led America out of the Depression; On the other hand, Biden is a stupid mentally disabled person who is determined to drag humanity into hell,” Dmitry Medvedev, a former president who is now the vice president of the Russian Security Council, wrote on the X network.

“Roosevelt, together with allies, including the USSR, fought for peace; instead, Biden is actively and persistently trying to unleash World War III,” he added.

“Roosevelt fought against the fascists, and Biden is fighting for them,” Medvedev also wrote in English. “He is a disgrace to the United States!” added Medvedev, who presented himself as a liberal modernizer when he was president from 2008 to 2012 and who now presents himself as one of the Kremlin’s fiercest anti-Western critics. Diplomats say his views reflect the thinking at the highest level of the Kremlin elite, Reuters noted.

The war in Ukraine has sparked a deep crisis in Russia’s relations with the West, and Biden angered Russian officials with his “crazy SOB” comment. Putin, with a wry smile, said the remark shows why the Kremlin sees Biden as a better future president than Trump.

Biden made remarks in a sentence about threats to the world, including “that guy Putin and others,” the risk of nuclear conflict and the existential threat to humanity from climate change.

Putin describes the US and its allies as a crumbling empire that wants to destroy Russia and steal its natural resources.
