John Millman’s message to Simona Halep: ‘Don’t let Patrick near your drinks after returning to tennis’

On his personal Twitter account, the former ATP No. 33 welcomes Simona Halep’s return to tennis and pokes fun at Patrick Muratoglu, the man who (finally) admitted responsibility for Halep’s doping scandal.

“I’m glad to see that Simone is eligible to play again. Don’t let Patrick (sans Muratoglu) near your drinks when you get back,” John Millman’s message after the TAS decision to shorten Simone’s suspension.

Still in the ATP rankings (No. 937 in singles), Millman announced his retirement from tennis after this year’s Australian Open Grand Slam tournament.

At the age of 34, John’s highest world ranking was 33rd (October 15, 2018), his best Grand Slam finish is a quarter-final appearance at the US Open (2018), and $5,519,421 in earnings from tennis alone (singles + doubles) throughout his career.
