Ranked 82nd in the WTA rankings, Christian was defeated in two sets by Australia’s Storm Hunter (124th WTA) 6-3, 7-5.
Jacqueline started the second set well, leading 5-3, but lost four straight games (she also missed three set points at 5-4).
Hunter advanced to the second round of qualifying after an hour and 33 minutes of play.
