
The government on Wednesday approved an emergency resolution on the creation of a state aid scheme for partial compensation for losses incurred in 2023 in the beekeeping industry in the context of the crisis caused by Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, reports the Ministry of Agricultural Policy. .
The total cost of the aid scheme is 59,866,000 lei, which is equivalent to 12,034,334 euros, and the proposed amount of state aid is 25 lei, corresponding to 5 euros per bee family.
The estimated number of bee colonies is 2,395,856.
The total amount that can be granted for each enterprise operating in the field of primary production of agricultural products does not exceed the equivalent of 280,000 euros in lei.
To receive financial support, beekeepers must meet the following conditions:
- on December 31, 2023, bee colonies registered in the national beekeeping database maintained by the National Animal Husbandry Agency “Prof. Dr. GK Constantinescu”, through the county livestock departments, in accordance with the provisions of the order of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development no. 251/2017, as subsequently amended and supplemented, on bee farms/hives authorized by the sanitary-veterinary authority ANSVSA;
- the presence of bee families in apiaries/hives registered/authorized by a sanitary-veterinarian on the date of submission of the application;
- not be in a state of liquidation or bankruptcy, on February 24, 2022 according to the data of the National Office of the Trade Register, or in the case of an individual, there should not be a final decision of the courts on recognition of bankruptcy by February 24. , 2022.
Beneficiaries can be:
- beekeepers, natural persons who have a producer’s certificate, issued on the basis of Law No. 145/2014 on the establishment of measures to regulate the market of agricultural products with the following changes and additions, valid on the date of submission of the application;
- beekeepers, authorized natural persons, individual enterprises and family enterprises established in accordance with the provisions of GEO no. no. 36/1991 on agricultural companies and other forms of associations in agriculture with further amendments and additions;
- beekeepers, legal entities.
The application for admission to the program must be submitted within 30 working days, starting from the day after the day the state of emergency order enters into force, and the deadline for payment is June 30, 2024.
