Elon Musk, the world’s richest man and the owner or CEO of several companies, hinted in a cryptic message that he intends to launch a new one that will offer email services, News.ro reports.
His statement came in the context of false reports last week at “X,” the former Twitter network that Musk bought in October 2022 and renamed last summer, that Google wanted to shut down Gmail.
The information was picked up and reposted by so many users that Google was forced to publish a rebuttal.
Speaking of which, one of Elon Musk’s followers on “X” asked him if he plans to launch a Gmail competitor. The South African billionaire’s answer was short: “Coming.”
Musk, who is a major shareholder and CEO of Tesla, founder of SpaceX and Neuralink and owner of “X,” did not provide additional details about the new email service he would like to launch.
However, Forbes notes that, most likely, it will be part of the X network, which Musk wants to turn into an all-encompassing platform where users can access a large number of services, including financial ones.
