Daniel Opritza does not leave “Steaua” because he wants to torment his players
In the away game against CSM Reșita, Steaua took the lead from the 20th minute after Rimovec’s success, but goal-scorer Chipirliu equalized in the 34th minute.
However, ex-speeder Marian Dragicanu scored a double at the beginning of the second half, and the military is still further away from the playoffs of the second league.
At the end of the match, Daniel Opritza harshly criticized his players, who, in his opinion, had come to Rešita to have a good time.
“It was a well-deserved victory for Rešitsa, even if I could have disputed some stages. With this score and the way we played, I can’t say more. Although I think there were some refereeing errors against us, we have no excuses for the way we performed in this game.
We scored two goals a few minutes after the break, we were miserable! Catastrophe! This is a shameful defeat for the players. I don’t want to call them Steaua, we are not Steaua, as we played in this match. Only those who came from Bucharest, the fans of which there were many, can call them “Steaua”.
The team that came to Resica for this match cannot be called Steaua. It was embarrassing. I could highlight two or three players, otherwise we are not Steaua. What we are doing this season is a disgrace.
If they are not ashamed of these people who have traveled so many kilometers to support them, then they have no character. These players mocked the club, the emblem and the fans. Reșița beat us in all sections, but above all in loyalty.
On the faces of the boys from Rešita, it was clear that they wanted to win. Our football players walked around Resitsa, came on an excursion. I don’t want to manage them at all. All of them have only claims to be football players. First of all, it is my fault because I brought them.
I try to fight for them, solve all their problems, and they treated me like that, especially here in Rešica, where my home is. They made me laugh. Maybe they are not ashamed, but I am ashamed. They actually mocked me, they all mocked me. I apologize to the fans on behalf of the players.
I would go, but I would like to stay and torment the players, not them. I gave them all the conditions, but I don’t know if I can still work with them on what they did in this match. They are always angry, they are not satisfied with anything and they do not want to play for this club.
I don’t know what they want, they were out of character. At some point, I didn’t know who to change. It was as if they were spoken to each other. I’ve lost games before, but not like this. We lost this match without a fight and I don’t want the players hiding behind the referee. And if we had received a penalty, we would still have received a beating from Reshita!” – said Daniel OpritzaCaon.ro reports.
