Reuters reports that such political appeals are rare from members of the British royal family, but William, 41, the heir to the British throne, is due to attend a series of events on Tuesday to draw attention to the suffering in the Palestinian exclave.

His office also said he plans to speak about the dangers of resurgent anti-Semitism around the world. Britain is one of the countries that has seen a sharp rise in anti-Semitic incidents since the bloody attack on Israel by Hamas on October 7 last year and the harsh Israeli response that followed.

“I remain deeply concerned about the terrible human toll of the conflict in the Middle East following the terrorist attack by Hamas on October 7. Too many people have been killed,” Prince William said on Tuesday.
