Russian prison authorities announced the death of Navalny, a prominent rival of Vladimir Putin who fought corruption in officialdom and led major anti-Kremlin protests, on Friday.
As Sky News reports, traffic surveillance cameras recorded a Russian convoy transporting the body of Alexei Navalny from prison to the morgue.
The Russian edition of “Mediazon” published footage captured by cameras on the night of February 16-17 – the day of Navalny’s death.
Three days after the announcement of the death of Alexei Navalny in an Arctic prison, his family still cannot claim or even see his body.

Both cameras show the same convoy crossing the Ob River south of Labytnangi, which is the only road between Harp prison and the Salekhard morgue, where the enemy’s body is said to be.
The lifeless body of Oleksii Navalny will be kept for another 14 days, the spokeswoman of the Russian dissident Kira Kira Yarmish said, quoted by Sky News.
“The investigators told the lawyers and Oleksiy’s mother that they would not give them the body,” she wrote on the X platform.
According to her, the authorities claim that the lifeless body of the Russian dissident will be kept for another 14 days, during which a “chemical examination” will be conducted. This is in view of the fact that Yulia Navalny, the widow of the dissident Oleksii Navalny, accused her husband of poisoning with “Novachko”, and the Russian authorities hid his body, waiting for traces of the substance to disappear.
So far, Navalny’s mother and his lawyer have not been allowed to see the dead body.
“Aleksii (Navalny)’s mother and his lawyers arrived at the morgue (on Monday) morning. They were not allowed to enter. One of the lawyers was literally pushed out. When I asked the employees if there was a body, they did not answer,” the spokeswoman of the former dissident, Kira Yarmish, said on social media.
In a video message published on Monday, Yulia Navalna said that she wants to continue his work and fight for a free Russia, Reuters reports.
