
More than 110 cases were addressed to the mountain rescuers in the last day, 46 people arrived at the hospital.
“A new fire day for mountain rescuers from all over the country who have been asked to intervene in an alarmingly high number of mountain incidents. In the last 24 hours, the National Fire Service of Salvamont has received 111 calls for emergency response,” Salvamont’s Facebook page said on Sunday.
According to the quoted source, Salvamont Vojniasa (14) and rescuers from Brasov, Maramures and Lupena received the most calls – 12 each, writes Agerpres.
As a result of these interventions, 108 people were saved.
“Of those, 46 were transferred to EMS or SMURD for transport to the hospital, one was transferred to the SMURD helicopter for transport to the hospital, and one was transferred to IML,” says Salvamont.
Also, 69 calls were received with requests for consultations and information about various tourist routes in mountainous terrain and ski areas.
