
Health Minister Alexandru Rafila said on Saturday on Antena 3 about the death of the president of CJ Vrancea, Catalin Tom, that it was an unfavorable and sad development from the medical point of view of a respiratory disease, and a virus, later with cardiovascular complications, News.ro reports .
The minister also noted that, unfortunately, “infectious pathology, especially in patients with concomitant diseases, unfortunately develops unpredictably, and there are fatal cases.”
The Minister of Health said during an intervention on Antena 3 that he does not believe that this is a dispute over the death of the president of the Vranca District Council.
“It is about an unfavorable and unfortunate from a medical point of view the development of a respiratory disease, a virus, later with cardiovascular complications. I cannot comment on the possible diseases that Mr. Toma had, this is stipulated by the law,” Alexandru Rafila commented, noting that this is the law that concerns the confidentiality of the patient’s medical record.
The minister also noted that, unfortunately, “infectious pathology, especially in patients with concomitant diseases, unfortunately develops unpredictably, and there are fatal cases.”
Alexandru Rafila also stated that these seasonal viral infections, such as influenza, can cause complications even in people with apparent good health and can lead to such consequences.
“It is important as a general message that when we have such a problem, we go to the doctor from the first minute and try not to cause such ailments,” said the minister.
“Also, I know this much that he was hospitalized in the hospital where I also worked with a respiratory infection, I can’t say more than that,” said the Minister of Health.
Vranca County Council announced in a Facebook post on Saturday that the funeral of Vranca County Council President Katalin Tom will take place on Thursday, February 22 at 11:00 a.m. in Jaristea.
“The funeral of the president of the Vranca County Council, Katalin Dumitru Tom, will be held on Thursday, February 22, at 11:00 a.m. in Jarishta,” the message reads.
The District Council also informs that the lifeless body will be deposited on Monday, February 19, at the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Yarishtia I Parish, Center.
Cătălin Toma, president of the Vrancea County Council and PNL Vrancea, died in a hospital in the capital, where he arrived with complications after catching a cold.
