The general mayor of the capital Nikushor Dan believes that he has a chance to get a second mandate in this year’s local elections, he believes that, as in 2020, the electoral struggle will be between the PSD candidate and the candidate “with the greatest chances” from the right-wing political spectrum. reports News.ro.

“This is a matter for the voters. What I can say, from my point of view, is that in 2020 I voted for the right, after 12 miserable years of PSD in Bucharest, and that I tried to stick to what I told people during the election campaign, that is, we took out the City Hall from bankruptcy, we have attracted European funds, and I think that in 2024 we will again be in the paradigm of “the right against the PSD”, and I think that the right-wing voters will see the candidate with the best chances,” said Nikushor. Dan, at Digi 24, Friday night.

When asked whether he has a chance to win a second term, even without the support of the PNL, the current mayor replied:

“Again, voting depends on the people. I think so, because the elections are polarized in a certain round, and the SDP and the right-wing candidate have the best chances among the right-wing candidates. I believe that even liberal sympathizers do not want the SDP in the capital, they themselves will filter the information and vote accordingly.”
