According to the plans, the two football stadiums will meet UEFA standards and will be built on the old sites after the demolition of the existing buildings. In Timisoara, the “Heroes of the Revolution” arena received the “green light”.

“We have made an assessment together with environmental protection agencies from all over the country, and the major sports projects that have been approved during the past year are among the most important and expected investments in the municipalities of Bucharest and Timisoara. We are talking about two famous stadiums in Romania, which from their former glory have become mostly training bases: “Dinamo Bucharest” and “Dan Paltinişanu” from Timisoara. In addition, the construction of a metal structure stadium for domestic rugby matches and training, social/cultural events and concerts was also approved in Timisoara” – Laurentiu Alexandru Păştinaru, President of ANPM.

About the new “Dynamo” stadium.

Work on the stadium of the sports club “Dynamo” from Stefan cel Mare road No. 7-9, sector 2, one of the most famous arenas in the country, can begin this year, if the Government’s decisions on financing and, accordingly, the demolition of buildings on the current site, will be approved.

According to Dynamo FC officials, until the National Investment Company and the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration receive GD funding, Dynamo FC has completed the stage of technical expertise required to demolish the old Dynamo Stadium and the buildings on the site. intended for the new arena to determine the decisions on the basis of which the Government Demolition Decision will later be obtained through the Ministry of Administration and Home Affairs.

According to the project, for which APM Bucharest has issued a Framework Phase Decision, the construction will spread over an area of ​​175,377 square meters and have 25,000 seats in the stands. The stadium will also receive UEFA accreditation to host international football competitions, but it will also be able to host rugby matches.

The 3D animation of the new arena was presented in May, when CS Dynamo turned 75 years old.

About the new stadium named after Dan Paltinisanu in Timisoara

The Timiş County Council is the owner of the project for the construction of a stadium with a capacity of 30,000 seats on the street. Stefan Kovaci, no. 1, from the municipality of Timisoara, on the site of the old Dan Păltinişanu stadium, which was closed two years ago for competitions and is currently only used as a training base for football.

The project, for which APM Timiş issued a Construction Stage Decision, as part of the procedure for issuing an Environmental Agreement, involves the demolition of the existing stadium and the construction of a new one that will meet UEFA accreditation requirements. The arena will be able to host matches of the national level (league 1), with spectators and international matches (friendly matches, qualifying matches, as well as European Cups up to the semi-final level).

The capacity of the stadium will be 30,000 seats with fully covered stands, and in the case of concerts, the capacity is estimated at 40,000 spectators. And in this case, two Government Resolutions are needed both for demolition and for financing the works.

About the Heroes of the Revolution stadium in Timisoara

The project of the first stadium built in Timisoara after the revolution, owned by the municipality of Timisoara, known to the residents of the metropolis as the LEGO Stadium, will be called “Heroes of the Revolution” and will be built on Calea Buziasului, on a metal structure, being the first structure of its kind, starting from scratch, after revolution of 1989.

The project envisages the arrangement of sports grounds and the construction of a steel construction stadium on an area of ​​52,668 square meters, of which the built-up area will be 12,954 square meters.

The future arena will have approximately 10,000 seats in the stands and will host both official football competitions and training sessions for teams of children’s and youth centers. In addition to football and rugby matches and training, the stadium will host social and cultural events and concerts. And for this project, APM Timiş issued a Development Stage Decision as part of the procedure for issuing an Environmental Agreement.
