In its sixth edition, the “Future workers will work with a 3D printer” project offers an innovative vision of vocational training for young people in Romania, offering modern education focused on advanced technologies.

Under the slogan Shape the future. Print it 3D!, this year the campaign is expanding with 12 more EDUTECH 3D printing centers in secondary schools in the cities of Bistryc, Cimpeni (Alba), Kalaras, Slatina (Alt), Merkurya-Chuk (Harghita), Rešica (Karas-Severin) , Feteshti (Jalomitsa), Tirgovishte (Dambovitsa), Giurgiu, Iasi, Alexandria (Teleorman) and Međidia (Constanța).

Of course, this expansion covers the 3DUTECH national mapchicken that every county in the country now has at least one 3D printing center at a local high school.

“Industrialists of the future will work with a 3D printer” in 2024 continues its efforts to give students and teachers access to real and modern digital skills, contributing to the technological transformation of schools in Romania and supporting the professions of the future. They are participating in new international certification programs in 3D modeling and printing and robotics in high schools.

Moreover, it will be relaunched in this year’s edition 3DTECH national 3D design, printing and robotics competition dedicated to all high school students and teachers who are passionate about technology, which encourages a spirit of competition and the creation of a large community of practitioners in the field of 3D printing and robotics. The 3DUTECH National Competition is included in the School Competition Calendar published by the Ministry of Education and promises to be a catalyst for enthusiasm and innovation among high school students and participating teachers.

The basis of this initiative is the familiarization of young people with new technologies ECDL Romania, Dedeman and Association of Romanian Business People (AOAR), a partnership that aims to offer young people real development opportunities. The goal of the project is to develop strong practical skills in young people, preparing them for the challenges and opportunities of the ever-evolving labor market.

Education should inspire, give practical knowledge and leave room for imagination. When it comes to putting our education into practice, we all face the dilemma of choosing a career. With this campaign, we want to support education based on new technologies and provide students and teachers with relevant and useful skills for the future.

To date, 62 high schools in Romania have become 3D printing centers, hundreds of teachers and more than 1,000 students participate in the project. Initial results have shown increased student and faculty interest in 3D printing skills, leading to initiatives such as the introduction of national selection for high school By the Ministry of Education and recognition by the Ministry of Labor a new professions in TSR – “3D printing technician”. The program aims to update qualifications to keep up with the realities of the labor market, which is deeply affected by technological transformations.

Through the promotion “3DUTECH. Shape the future. Print it 3D!”, several schools in Romania become 3D printing centers every year. During each edition, at least 10 secondary schools in the country are equipped with high-performance 3D printers, and at least 20 teachers and 200 students have the opportunity to obtain the internationally recognized ECDL/ICDL 3D certificate for free Printing.
