Qatar won their second Asian Cup trophy after defeating Jordan 3-1 in the final.

Jordan – Qatar 1-3, in the final of the Asian Cup

Unexpectedly reaching the final after knocking out South Korea, Jordan were unlucky against Qatar.

In front of their home crowd at the Lusail Iconic Stadium, Qatar opened the scoring in the 22nd minute thanks to Akram Afif.

After the break, Jordan restored the tie, after succeeding in the 67th minute, signed Al Naimat.

The score remained equal for only six minutes, and in the 73rd minute, Afif scored again from the penalty spot.

The final score was decided in extra time, after another shot from 11 meters was converted by the striker Al-Sadda, who became the top scorer of the competition with eight goals.

It was the second Asian Cup trophy won by Qatar after 2019.
