Starting Monday, February 12, Romanians can take out government loans for 1 and 3 years at an interest rate of 6% and 6.75%, respectively, under the Tezaur program. Those interested can sign up until March 8.

Interest rates are lower than in January. Then they were 6.1% and 7% per year.

You can sign up for it directly in the Treasury departments, through the Romanian Post or virtual private space.

Government bonds have a nominal value of 1 lei and are in dematerialized form.

The interest is annual and is paid on the terms specified in the issue prospectus. An investor can make one or more subscriptions within the issue. Investors have the option to cancel already issued subscriptions only during the subscription period by submitting an application.

Individuals over the age of 18 on the day of subscription may participate. Income received from investing in government securities issued by the Ministry of Finance is not taxed.
