The first stage of the railway renewal program on the Călineşti – Goleşti – Pitesti section (21 km) is being carried out from February 8, 2024 to March 27, 2024 within the Regional Branch of CF Craiova, with works to replace elements of the track superstructure between Călinești – Golești stations (line II ) and on two lines from CF Golești station, between km 95+000-99+300.

During the works between Kelineşti – Goleşti stations (line II) and on the two lines from Goleşti CF station, trains will run only on line I between Kelineşti and Goleşti stations and on other lines from Goleşti station, with speed restrictions, to protect workers, in the construction zone .
The track superstructure renewal program on the Bucharest-Pitesti railway line (217.7 km) is carried out on the basis of three contracts signed last year by the Regional Railway Branches of Craiova (one lot) and Bucharest (two lots), with funding provided by the PNRR in the amount of 666 million lei, without VAT, aimed at abolishing speed limits, improving safety and achieving a maximum speed of 120 km/h on the longest possible route.
