At that time, I had not even heard the word “autism”. I had worries like any mother: sleep, eat, read a book, take him to the park every day to… At that time I was also different, completely different than now: maybe more selfish, maybe more focused on a career, perhaps more indifferent to many things around. Autism changed me in an absolutely incredible way, because in any family where a child with autism grows up, there are parents with all the sharp feelings, sensitive, patient and full of hope.
