
Six Pakistani citizens suspected of involvement in the killing of a migrant from Afghanistan on the street in Timisoara were detained by police from a shopping center in Bucharest. Six have documents for residence in Romania.
The police have identified six suspects in the case of the murder of a 22-year-old Afghan citizen on one of the streets of Timisoara. The suspects are Pakistani citizens who were caught in a shopping center in the capital. The six were detained and taken to Timisoara for questioning, News.ro reported Thursday evening.
All six Pakistanis have residence documents in Romania issued by the Immigration Inspectorate.
At the same time, during Thursday in Timisoara, searches were conducted at the residence addresses of migrants.
Investigators took several migrants to the meeting and reviewed images from surveillance cameras in the area where the crime was committed. They discovered that the killing was the culmination of a conflict between a group of Afghans and a group of Pakistanis.
On the night from Wednesday to Thursday, a passerby who called the emergency service 112 found a young Afghan man dead on Caprioarei street in Timisoara. The doctors, who immediately arrived at the scene, could not save the young man.
