Schoenherr announces the largest round of promotions in its local team since the firm entered the Romanian market in 1996. The 13 appointments, which will come into force on 1 February 2024, cover various areas of activity, including competition, EU and foreign trade, dispute resolution. , banking and finance, labor and employment, corporate law/M&A, energy, real estate and government procurement.

The two promotions relate to roles within the Schoenherr Group’s international structure, where Georgiana Badescu was named equity partner and Justin Armas AND partnership agreement.

Georgiana Badescu (partner, competition, EU and foreign trade) has 19 years of legal experience and joined Schoenherr in 2017. She leads the firm’s EU, competition and foreign trade practice, as well as a team specializing in personal data protection.

Justin Armas (partner, dispute resolution), who has 13 years of experience as a lawyer, has been part of the Schoenherr team since 2015. He co-leads the firm’s local practice, specializing in litigation, including litigation and arbitration, bankruptcy and reorganization, and criminal litigation.

Adina Damascus (partner, banking and finance) has been an attorney since 2007 and joined Schoenherr in 2014. She has significant experience in banking and finance, in particular in cross-border or local financing and financial regulation issues.

Liviu Fluske (managing attorney, real estate) has been a member of the Schoenherr team since 2011 and was admitted to the bar in 2013. She specializes in real estate, focusing on transactions and projects related to forest and industrial properties.

Simona Lehniuk (managing attorney, corporate law/M&A), who has practiced law since 2006, joined Schoenherr in 2020. She has significant experience in corporate law/M&A, as well as in the energy sector, particularly in the field of renewable energy.
